Matthew R. Sova, of Pierceton and affectionately known as Matt, passed away on October 17, 2023, at IU Methodist Hospital at the age of 36. He was born on December 22, 1986, in Elkhorn, WI to Robert and Lori Sova. Matt was a remarkable individual who left an indelible mark on the lives of those around him.
Matt's career was dedicated to Keystone RV, where he worked as a production worker. His strong work ethic and unwavering commitment were evident in everything he did. He took pride in his role and approached each task with diligence and determination. In addition to his working career, Matt served in the United States Marine Corps and carried with him the values instilled by his military service in all aspects of his being.
His warm and inviting personality made Matt a beloved figure in his community. Known for always smiling, he had an infectious spirit that made it impossible for anyone to remain a stranger. Matt was a selfless and kind-hearted individual who would go out of his way to help anyone in need. His generosity knew no bounds.
Beyond his work life, Matt cherished his role as a loving husband and fantastic father. His wife, Stacy Sova, was the love of his life, and together they created a beautiful family. Matt adored his children Haley, Issac, and Sophia. He was incredibly proud of their accomplishments and found immense joy in their happiness. Matt's nurturing nature extended beyond his immediate family. He held the title of "Best Uncle" to many nieces and nephews who adored him immensely. His presence brought comfort and joy to their lives.
In his free time, Matt found solace in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was cooking delicious meals for his family or indulging in outdoor adventures, he relished every moment spent with loved ones. Fishing with his children held a particularly special place in his heart, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by those who had the privilege of joining him on those adventures. A dedicated football fan, Matt also took on the role of a coach for his son's football team, ensuring he never missed a game.
Matt will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Stacy Sova, their children, Haley (Jacob) Burchett, Issac Moore, and Sophia Moore, as well as their grandchildren, Mallory and Greyson Burchett. He is also survived by three brothers, four sisters, his parents, paternal grandmother, and numerous nieces and nephews whom he held close to his heart.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Warsaw is entrusted with Matt's care. Friends and family may gather on October 28, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw. A memorial service with military honors will immediately follow.
