Raymond L. Bledsoe, 78, peacefully passed away on September 9, 2025, at his residence in Claypool, Indiana. Raymond was born on November 21, 1946, in Burlington, Washington, to his loving parents, Marvin and Evelyn (Brevik) Bledsoe.

Raymond graduated from Warsaw High School in Warsaw, Indiana, where he laid the foundation for a life characterized by hard work and dedication. Following graduation, he entered the military as a Marine in 1966 and honorably served for six years. His time in Vietnam earned him several medals, reflecting his bravery and commitment to his country.

In 1973, Raymond married Joyce A. Folk at the Winona Lake FM Church, beginning a wonderful chapter that would span 37 years until her passing in 2020. His pride in his marriage was mirrored in the love he had for his children, Jason and Lydia. Raymond was a cherished grandfather to his four grandchildren, with whom he shared many wonderful memories.

Raymond dedicated 43 and a half years of his professional life to RR Donnelley, where he worked as a printer, printing catalogs. He retired in 2013, and his legacy of steadfast work ethic and commitment to excellence will not be forgotten.

In retirement Ray was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders, a lifetime member of the American Legion, a member of the Elks, and the VFW. Ray developed lifelong friendships among his fellow patrons and will be greatly missed on karaoke nights. He participated in countless motorcycle fundraising and benefit rides.

Raymond is survived by his son; Jason M. (Kim) Bledsoe, daughter; Lydia (Matt) Campbell both of Warsaw, four grandchildren; Kerstin Bledsoe, Hallie Bledsoe, Gunnar Campbell, and Hadley Campbell, and sister, Cecelia F. Kiser, who will remember him fondly along with all who were privileged to know him.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Joyce, and his parents.

Aside from his service and accolades, dad was the type of guy that everyone loved. Simply, “He was a great guy,” as so many condolences have said. He was the guy that quietly stood in your corner, announcing himself just loud enough so you would know that he was there. Humble and generous he was always willing to help. He stepped up and supported our families in countless ways throughout our lives. He loved music and raised his kids on classic rock greats like Led Zeppelin, Harry Chapin, The Doors, Tom Petty, and his favorite Pink Floyd. He loved motorcycles. Perhaps loved isn’t a strong enough word. Motorcycles and riding were integral to his identity. He owned several bikes over his lifetime and enjoyed touring the country, collecting memories and Harley shirts. Life will go on as it must, but for those lucky enough to know dad, it will be forever changed. We will love and cherish our memories and miss him always.

There will be a Casual Gathering on Friday September 12, 2025 at the Elks Lodge, 310 East Center St. Warsaw, from 6 pm-8 pm, with friends and family welcome.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, Indiana, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM with service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Larry Burkhart officiating. Burial to take place at a later date.
