Matthew Richard Blankman (39) passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, March 14, 2024 for reasons not known nor understood.
Born January 11, 1985 in Racine, WI to Jeffery and Linda (Humpal) Blankman, he grew up and attended schools in the Eagle and Mukwonago, WI area and lived in Dallas for several years graduating from Hillcrest High School in 2003 where his teachers considered him gifted. He further obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management and was a Senior Estimator/Project Manager at Mathison Manufacturing in Waukesha, WI.
Matthew had many interests during his short life with us. As an avid BMX bike racer in Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, sponsored by Humpal Sporting Goods his grandparents business in Rockford, Illinois, he ultimately went on to win a trophy at the BMX Grand Nationals in Oklahoma City, OK. More recently he enjoyed cruising on his crotch rocket and attended motorcycle racing school in Las Vegas, NV. He had a love of music inherited from his father and created techno music as DJ Tektane. He loved the lake life and following his purchase of the home on Eagle Spring Lake, he pursued his life-long passions for fishing, swimming, and snowmobiling and developed his love of gardening.
Three short years ago Matthew and Jaclyn "Jaci" met and fell in love. Their crowning achievement was the birth of their daughter Marlayna Sue in November 2021.
The biggest star in Matthew's world was Marlayna Sue Blankman, his beautiful two-year old daughter to whom he was totally devoted and loved beyond measure. He loved taking her out on the pontoon boat teaching her how to fish and cruising the lake. Marlayna and daddy went on walks together, had fun playing with the dogs, reading books & grocery shopping. He always called Marlayna "sweetheart" and told her "You're so pretty!". Marlayna will always truly look up to him as her hero.
Matthew is predeceased by his father Jeff Blankman in June 2022 and brother John Blankman in October 2023. Survived by his mother Linda Blankman, Stepfather Gary Knodle, daughter Marlayna Sue Blankman, fiancée Jaclyn Chelstowski, Stepson Theo Chelstowski (6), Stepsisters Lindsey Knodle, Eden Stribling (Dees), Uncle Richard Blankman (Kathleen), Uncle Cliff Vacek, Uncle Peter Walter (Claire), Uncle Lawrence Humpal "Mike" (Sharon), nieces Hailey Blankman (20) Ariel (12), Jasmine (10), Giselle (5) their mother Noel Minster, many cousins and a wide circle of friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 380 Bluemound Rd., Waukesha from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm.
Matthew was a true standup guy, trusted by everyone who knew him and always willing to lend a hand to family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Such a loss. When I first met Matt, I received a somewhat unexpected giant hug. You just immediately felt his kindness and warmth. He was just an amazing young man. Bonny Knodle
