Pattie, Steve, and all of Matt's family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Take comfort in knowing that Matt left behind a lot of memories of good times and laughter. I will always remember Matt and some wild kayak trips down the river, to and from Camp. Matt would usually bring along a box of wine, which would quickly get soggy and turn into a bag of wine. He loved demonstrating how to drink like a Viking, aiming the flow while holding the bag high overhead, before passing it around. We would be purple by the time the bag was dry!
Matt was a true outdoorsman and was always willing to pass along his knowledge of woods and waters. He was passionate about hunting and fishing. I'm going to try to attach a picture of Matt holding a 50" Rockfish he reeled in on my boat while fishing on the Chesapeake Bay. We had some great adventures, which I'll remember fondly.

It saddens us deeply to hear of Matts passing. We would like to extend our condolences to Patty and Steve and all of Matts friends and family. Quite often when Matt would be walking Charlie or any of the family dogs past our bakery he would stop and engage in friendly conversation. It was always our great pleasure to visit with him as he sure loved his animals. His legacy became what we become to know as Rixford. Fond memories will forever be remembered of his kind spirit. God bless during this difficult time. Kerry and Becky Bacha
