Matthew Kellner, age 55 of Livermore, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 13, at the K. Tire Shop located at 1544 Pine Ave, Livermore, IA 50558. Lentz Funeral Home of Livermore is assisting the family.
Matthew Thomas Kellner, the son of Thomas Clair and Joan Marie (Berte) Kellner, was born on May 24, 1970 in Algona, Iowa. He graduated from Twin Rivers High School and then attended Iowa Lakes Community College where he received an autobody diploma. On March 24, 2007, Matt was united in marriage to Nette McCullough at their family farm.
Matt loved his cattle and farming with his brother, John and nephew, Wyatt. He liked John Deere two cylinder tractors, a pulling truck with his brother, John, and taking yearly trips to Texas to go hog hunting with Nette. Breakfast in Bode was a favorite morning routine and enjoyed taking his grandson Roman with him. He enjoyed group therapy in the shop and bringing his grandkids with him as well. Many will remember him for always helping others.
Left to cherish Matt's memory are his wife, Nette Kellner of Livermore; children, Stephanie Kellner of Rapid City, SD, Megan (Colby) Miller of Humboldt, and Samantha (Cliff) McKinley of Walker; goddaughter, Savanah (Jake) Trenary of Rolfe; grandchildren, Roman, Ruger, Sage, and Landry; great godson, Ronnie; mother, Joan Kellner; siblings, Mark (Lynn) Kellner of Hardy; Julie (Kent) Clendenen of Humboldt, Carolyn (Joaquin) Benefiel of West Des Moines, John Kellner of Livermore; mother-in-law, Donna McCullough, and many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Kellner, father-in-law, Jerry McCullough, brother-in-law Kevin McCullough, and many family and friends.
