Matthew Paul Knight died peacefully on December 22, 2022, in Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 50. Matthew is survived by his wife, Misha Knight, beloved daughters Malley and Mabrey, and his parents, Paul and Junelle Knight of Grove, Oklahoma.
Matthew was born on August 1, 1972, in Miami, Oklahoma and graduated from Putnam City North High School in 1990. A lifelong Pokes fan, he graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1996 with a degree in Construction Management and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. After marrying Misha, his college sweetheart, he worked in the construction industry, most recently for Build Tech Constructors. He was a member of American General Contractors.
Matthew was an active and dedicated volunteer, including the Chairman of YMCA and a member of Church of the Servant. Matthew loved his family, fishing, farming, boating, and Star Wars.
A celebration of his life is scheduled for Friday, December 30, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Church of the Servant (14343 NW MacArthur Blvd, OKC, OK 73162). Rev. Matthew Mitchell will conduct the service and his Crazy Uncle Mike Lillie will give the eulogy. All are welcome to attend and are requested to wear blue, Matt's favorite color.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents George Rendel, June Rendel, Ernest Knight, Bessie Knight, a cousin, Jill Rendel, and his uncle Mark Rendel. He is survived by his father and mother law Joe and Sissy Clark, brother-in-law Jason Clark and wife Sarah, Sue Rendel, Rev.Wally and Barbara Rendel, Rev.Gerald (Chief) and Linda Rendel, Mike and Carla Lillie, Sherry and Jim Cummings, Pam Talbert, Brent Rendel, Greg Rendel, Jeff Rendel, Amy Milligan, Bart Rendel, Jodi Stone, James Cummings, Josh Cummings, Vanessa Lillie and Nathan Lillie; Nieces and nephew Emily and husband Brad Drake, Brinley Drake, Ember McCubbin, Peyton Clark and Jeff Barlow, Chandler and Sammy Rodriguez, Pippa Rodriguez, Landen Clark and beloved dog Maxie.
Pallbearers include Matthew's Posse: Bobby Kahkesh, Leland Meiser, Patrick Prevo, and Chad Shoemaker.
