Matthew John Kruse
2/24/62-7/31/24
Beloved son of Gordon and Margaret Kruse, loving father to Matthew Joseph (Joey) Kruse, proud grandfather of Joie and Matthew Joseph Jr. (MJ) Kruse, and brother to Mike (Nancy) Kruse, Pat (Barbara) Kruse, Jerry (Pattie) Kruse, Tom (Sue) Kruse, Mary (Alex) Panio, Carol Knight, Pete (Jeannie) Kruse, and Paul Kruse. He was Uncle and friend to well over 20 nieces and nephews. Matt served his country in the United States Navy for many years, including spending time in the Persian Gulf war. After his service to the Navy, he was a proud business owner in the construction industry for many years. He also worked for United Airlines for over 10 years, where he enjoyed his travel benefits which allowed him to travel the country to see family and friends. Matt will always be remembered as a loving family man and friend. His amazing and quirky sense of humor always put a smile on the faces of the people he encountered. When he wasn't working he loved cheering on the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche and watching any episodes of M.A.S.H. and The Big Bang Theory he could find. He enjoyed spending time with family playing Scrabble, watching UFC fights as well as an occasional poker game. When he wasn't spending time with family and friends, he had a weakness for Mexican food, especially Los Arcos. Matt was a fun loving man who enjoyed any and all time spent with family and friends. The mark that he left on those that knew him will never be forgotten. He joins his parents and brother Paul in the afterlife. May he rest in eternal peace. He will be greatly missed and was loved by so many, more than he ever knew.

The Kruse family were our neighbors and we all grew up together on Winona Street. Because there were so many kids on our two block street, everyone watched out for each other. Matt was the youngest of the Kruse kids and quite a rascal. I remember when he would run out of the house in his diaper - no matter if it was sunny or snowy!

Matt was just one of the 'rascals' at that time - which included my brother Alan, John K., David E. and others. They were fun-loving kids that grew into good men. The last I spoke to Matt was last year after my brother Alan died. I so appreciated hearing from him and reminiscing. To the family - know that you are all in my thoughts during this difficult time. May you find peace in the joyful memories of a sweet guy.
