I worked with Matt in wastewater and he did some work at my house. He was a good friend. I had no idea that he passed away. May he rest in peace. My condolences to the family.

I am so grateful that I got to know Matt during my childhood. I considered him one of my closest elementary school friends. I truly wish I would've gotten to know Matt again as an adult. My heart is broken for his family. I will send all my love and prayers to his daughters, his parents and siblings during this unbearable time.

Matt was that guy! He always put a smile on everyone's faces, including my own. He was extremely close to his next door neighbors, my grandparents included. I remember when me and my grandmother, or as the neighborhood knew her as RoRo, got into a car accident down the street she yelled for me to get Matt... and Matt ran down the block to make sure she was ok. I have watched his children grow into young adults. I even traveled with him to CT with his children to visit his family. I have never met a person as kind as him. He will truly be missed. He holds a special place in all of our hearts and always will.

RIP Matt..I have to say that Matt did have a kind heart, I remember moving in with him and my sister and my nieces for a little while and feeling welcome. I remember when my sister first met Matt and I remember taking Matt to his Dr appointments and staying with him there.I got to know him very well and saw his heart. He really loved his girls and would do anything for them. This truly is a tragedy and it tugs at my heart, he will be missed, prayers for my sister, my nieces and Matt's family. R.I.P Matt

I am so sorry to hear about Matt's passing... I have known Matt for years... He has watched both my kids grow up and he treated both of them as if they were his own kids... He was a great man that would do anything for anyone... Kira and Caitlyn were definitely his heart and his whole world... He will definitely be missed but never forgotten... RIP Matt

I met Matt about 12 years ago when we resided in the same neighborhood. My daughter used to watch his girls. He extended an invitation to a cookout to me via my daughter where many neighbors joined together to socialize and eat. That was the beginning of our friendship. Matt was there to lend a helping hand while my husband was deployed by caring for my lawn, packing my entire house (with some friends) and moving me into a new house while ensuring my furniture was placed, televisions hooked up, boxes unpacked so my family could relax and enjoy our new home. I will never forget your kind heart and big smile.

There's so many great memories I have of Matt. He always treated me as part of the family and if ever I needed anything he was quick to offer help or point me in the direction needed. It is with heavy heart I write this because a seemingly happy, hard working father has left us so suddenly. I'm forever great ful to have met him and kept this family apart of my life for the past 12 years. You saw me grow from a little timid teenager to a young adult with 2 children and I'm thankful you were able to meet them. Your impact on my life is greater than many could imagine. I know you are guiding your family and mine from above and I feel your presence happily leading us all to greater things. Thank you again for being all things amazing to my family. I'll cherish your memory and do anything to help your precious angels as long as I'm able.

Matt worked hard every day and was loyal, honest and a man of his word. This is a sad loss for all of us. He had a wonderful reputation and cared for every being. Our hearts go out to his family. Peace and Blessings.

I am so sorry to learn of Matt's passing. He was referred to me by a neighbor. He and his crew did work for me last spring. I was so pleased with the quality of work and dependability of the crew. He was a super nice guy who spoke often of his girls. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Matt it's only been a week and a half since you left us. The girls and I try to put this tragedy that you are gone. There's not a day goes by that we don't think about you. We love you we will make sure that your memory stays alive in our lives and in the lives of many. You are at peace now and we are trying to accept that. The girls talk everyday how they want to make you proud of them, watch over them from above and see there accomplishments in life because they will become awesome mature women but in the end they will still be your little angels! Welove you and miss you. Rest In Peace forever,my love.
