Matthew Stanley Levonchuck, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away on June 30, 2023. He will be remembered by his large circle of
family and friends for his kindness, empathy, wit, contagious smile, and devotion to his family.
Matt, or "Lev" to his friends, grew up in Stratford, NJ. He graduated from Sterling High School and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Widener
University. Most recently, Matt worked as a teacher with special needs elementary school students in the Philadelphia Public School system.
Matt was an athlete and avid sports enthusiast competing on the high school's swim and tennis teams. He continued to play tennis and could often be found playing
pickleball up at Hagerty Field. Matt was a lifelong fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, and thoroughly enjoyed Fight Nights and NASCAR with his dad and friends. In the
spring and summer, Matt spent many weekends out on the water fishing.
Matt is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara (nee Trendler) Levonchuck. He is survived by his loving father, Stanley Levonchuck, sister Crystal Levonchuck, grandmother Maria Trendler, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be remembered forever by the many people who love him.
Family and friends will be received for visitation on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Eugene J. Zale Funeral Home located at 712 N. White Horse Pike in Stratford, NJ. A memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM.
