Barbara Louise Levonchuck

Barbara Levonchuck, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend lived life grateful for everyday and everyone until she passed away on April 23, 2023. Her smile, sense of humor, compassion for others, and strong faith in God never wavered as she fought ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) for more than 30 years. Barbara's gentle warrior spirit lives on in all those who loved her.
Barbara grew up happy and well-loved in Stratford, NJ. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1980 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University. She worked for Raytheon Technologies until she retired due to progressing symptoms of ALS.
Barbara's greatest joy came from being a wife and mother. Barbara, her husband, Stanley Levonchuck and their two children, Matthew and Crystal settled in Stratford where they were surrounded by family and friends. They became active members of Christ Community Church of Lindenwold, NJ,
As a warrior against ALS, Barbara coordinated fundraisers for the ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, as well as annual trips to Washington DC to advocate for ALS research and patient resources.
Barbara's family would like to thank the ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, Penn Medical Center's ALS Center, and Holy Redeemer Hospice for their support and care over the years.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Philip Trendler Sr. She is survived by her devoted husband, Stanley, her loving children, Matthew and Crystal, mother Maria Trendler, siblings Philip Trendler Jr. (Rosann), Thomas Trendler (Susan), Keith Trendler, Jayne Fennimore (Alan, decd.), Maureen Halpin (Timothy), Stephen Trendler (Theresa), sister-in-law Karen Levonchuck, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends will be received for visitation at Christ Community Church, 325 East Linden Avenue, Lindenwold, NJ 08021 on May 20, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM immediately followed by a memorial service.
