Patricia Kuchler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Zale Funeral Home - Stratford on Jan. 23, 2026.
Patricia A. Kuchler (née Kelly), age 77 of Voorhees, New Jersey passed away

during the early hours of Thursday, January 22, 2026. She was a valued loving wife of

Joseph J. Kuchler, MD, for well over five decades and the ever loving mother of Joseph

J. Kuchler, ESQ and Mark A. Kuchler along with being an endearing and devoted

grandmother of Ava R. Kuchler. She was a dear sister of John J. Kelly, MD, married to

Barbara A. Kelly, MD and an always caring sibling to her brother Robert L. Kelly.

Patricia was born in Camden, New Jersey by being brought into the world by her

parents Jeremiah & Teresa Kelly becoming a longtime resident of Pennsauken, New

Jersey prior to her marriage to Joseph in 1971, then transitioning to Voorhees, New

Jersey to be close to loved ones in the surrounding area. She and her husband joined

Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish in 1980 prior to sending their sons to Catholic school

paving the way also for their granddaughter to follow the same path.

Throughout her childhood she attended Saint Cecilia's Elementary School in

Pennsauken, New Jersey followed by Camden Catholic High School being not too

distant from her family's residence. During her attendance at Camden Catholic High

School she met and found the love of her life Joseph and they surpassed being your

average high school sweethearts. Patricia was grateful for the positive role models that

directly influenced her views that came from the faculty, priests, and Sisters of Mercy

during her time at Camden Catholic High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in

Nursing from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky where she forged lifelong

relationships following with a master's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in

New Jersey. She readily enjoyed employment as an instructor of nursing at Spalding

University and many years as a registered nurse and supervisor at the former West

Jersey System now known as Virtua. She achieved her dream of being a professional

member of the medical community.

Patricia was a loving, vibrant, caring, and compassionate person toward all of

those she enjoyed meeting and spending time with in order to get to know better. Her

priorities in life always revolved around her family and many close friends. She was

more than a rock in the foundation of her close multigenerational family by voluntarily

giving unselfishly her time and love representing her core Christian values. She was

deeply devoted to her Christian faith and heavily believed in supporting Catholic

education by being an example of stewardship within the Church. She was an

inspiration to the people she met expressing her values and beliefs being a joyful,

happy, and lively person spreading a positive light toward all people that she crossed

paths with.

She enjoyed trips with her family to Disney World in Orlando, Florida and Key

West, Florida. She loved the resorts and many restaurants that she visited with her

family creating nice memories for everyone while in Florida. She enjoyed summers in

Stone Harbor, New jersey along with trips to Avalon and Cape May, New Jersey for

family dinners and shopping. She loved the numerous fun times with her husband

playing slot machines and eating delicious food at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City,

New Jersey. She always enjoyed delving into the world of politics and thoroughly found

enjoyment discussing various topics of political science with her friends on many

occasions. She enjoyed time sitting with her first dog that she became very attached to

over a decade and actually never believed she would find such enjoyment and affection

from a beloved family dog.

She was well known for her generosity towards others especially when the eyes

of her grand nieces and nephews would illuminate when she arrived with big bags of

presents for them to enjoy. Her generosity will always be remembered by all of her

family members and friends from her giving gifts for every birthday and especially the

holiday season throughout Christmas time. She liked periodically hosting a family

dinner during the holidays and for many years created an amazing atmosphere from her

Christmas parties thrown at her home. Patricia found Christmas time to be precious

and found pleasure in decorating all of her living space with a lifetime of decorations

that she has to come to find creating a winter wonderland view that rivaled most small

Christmas shops stemming from hard work with help from loved ones that took many

weeks to complete her task in creating a warm holiday home for many to witness.

Patricia will be genuinely missed by all of her family and friends. She will be

extremely missed by all of the people that she had an impact on their lives. The loss of

Patricia was sudden and felt through the many that knew her. Patricia will always be

remembered for the many gracious acts and the joy she put out in the world from her

distinct personality. Many will not forget the way she touched their lives from the way

she was. Everyone will always cherish the time she spent being a great and wonderful

person. She surely is now an angel in heaven watching upon all of us.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Andrew the Apostle Church in

Gibbsboro, New Jersey. Also, please consider donating toward Catholic education or

anything that can provide a better life for those in time of need.

Joe and family,

I am so sorry for your terrible loss. My mother, Dot Corbett, loved Pat and they enjoyed each others company immensely when they were together. Our connection to Pat was through her cousins, the Price family. Pat was always so wonderful to my Mom. She was a great lady.

My dear, best friend and roommate from college, and lifelong friend, Pat Kelly Kuchler. I just finished writing an ode to her for therapy to deal with this loss. I hope it comforts Joe, Joey, Mark and Ava. It is too long to post here, but suffice it to say, it was a tribute to a woman who had all the fruits of the Spirit in her soul. Galatians 5:22. We have all benefitted from them through her. I would be willing to bet that most of the comments on here will be related to her kindness and generosity. That was Pat. Hugs and love to all of you Kuchlers and all those who loved her. She will be sorely missed here on earth. I am looking forward to seeing her again with the sunshine of the Spirit beaming on her face. She wouldn't return here, even if she could. I take a little comfort in that thought through the tears and laughter. May it comfort you. Peace.
