Matthew Livingston Obituary

Matthew Leigh Livingston, 54, of Austin, Texas passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Matt and his former spouse, Debra (Joy) Livingston have three cherished children together, Alexis (Lexi), Macy and Tyler. He was the beloved son of Karen Livingston, and loving younger brother to Jeff & Scott Acke and Cherie Livingston. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana, Matt majored in Finance. He retired from a successful career at TEKsystems. With a desire to help businesses reach their full potential, Matt founded Iron Core Consulting. A gifted teacher, he had a passion for the personal and professional development of leadership clients. Matt chose to be an organ donor. His family is comforted by faith as well as knowing that his spirit lives in others. We wish to acknowledge all Ascension Seton Hospital personnel and especially ICU and TOSA staff for exemplary care and comfort provided at such a difficult time. Ramsey Funeral Home, Georgetown Texas is handling final arrangements. No formal service is planned. A Celebration of Matt's Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Matt's family suggests donating to Jail to Jobs, a favorite charity of his. My prayers and thoughts are with Matts family and friends. I only knew Matt for a short period of time and I found him to be incredibly kind and funny. He will be sorely missed.

Matt was a good friend in jr and high school. He lived down the street on Busey. Him and I use to break dance in his mom's basement. His mom was always nice to me.
We lost a good man but the lord has one his angels back.

My first memory of Matt was in elementary school. Martin Luther King School in Urbana, Il. We attended the same school from elementary through high school graduation. When we got to high school, we were a part of a crew that ate lunch together everyday. Over the years, I have thought of Matt and our laughs in French class, and during lunch. May God be pleased with his soul. Peace and blessings to his family, close friends and those whose lives he touched.

My first memory of Matt was when I interviewed with him for a promotion in 1997. He gave me great advice, and made me sweat a little before I got the good news that I was going to be promoted! He was a good man!
