Matthew Macchia Obituary
Matthew passed peacefully after a sudden illness and his mom and dad were holding his hand as he went home.
If you knew Matthew, he had a trillion-dollar smile and a gregarious outlook on life. Despite some of his limitations, he was always the happiest kid in the room - laughing, smiling and adoring everyone around him.
He enjoyed all life had to offer. Music (Classic Country and Rockabilly were his favorites), Baseball, (he played in 3 Baseball Leagues - The Dream Team, Morris County Challenger Little League and the Diamond Stars of Chester). He also enjoyed surfing from The Best Day Foundation and looked forward to going to Camp Fatima of New Jersey.
During weekends, Matthew could be found going on walks with his family around the local parks and waving and smiling at everyone!
When it came to school - he just adored his classmates and made all the field trips fun - bowling, shopping, museums, pumpkin picking...quite a long list as he loved activities.
A favorite moment of his life is when he visited Nashville and loved the music and the honky-tonks.
Matthew is survived by his Mother, Eugenia; his Father, Paul; many cousins, countless friends and two adoring cats, Xelda and Luna.
He is already missed, but he is pain-free and home in Heaven.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 3:00-7:00 PM with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 7:00 PM located at Tuttle Funeral Home (272 Route 10 West, Randolph).
