Matthew Joseph Meche

Matthew Joseph Meche passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the age of 38. He was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Port Allen, LA. Visitation will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 10am until religious services at 2pm. Entombment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Brusly. Matthew is survived by his children, Rylan Matthew, Jaxton Taylor and Asher Joseph; parents, Albert Meche, III and Marian Lefebvre; brothers, Dustin Meche (Connie) and Jeremy Meche (Danielle); nephews and niece, Dustin Meche, Jr., Kaylee Oliver, and Jackson Meche; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Mary West Meche, and Herman and Margie Morales Lefebvre. Matthew was passionate about his family, always with an inquisitive mind and great sense of humor. He loved deep conversations, a good belly laugh, and tacos. Matthew was a loving son, grandson, brother, and father who adored his children and loved spending time with his family. His smile, wit, and gentle soul will be missed by all who love him.
