Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Ray Reed; maternal grandparents, O.J. and Mary Hughes.
Matthew is survived by his mother, Gloria Hughes Reed; sister, Mitzi Reed Hardy; aunt, Brenda McLaurin; uncle, Olyer Hughes, along with a host of extended family and many friends.
Matthew was a loving and devoted son to his parents. Before his disability, he enjoyed working in the oil field and later worked as an electrician's apprentice in North Dakota with his cousin, Greg.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The service will begin at 2:00 in the chapel with interment to follow in Southern Memorial Gardens.
