Matthew Stanger

Matthew Mark Stanger, 41, of Anderson passed away on April 16, 2023.
He was a jack of all trades, Matt had many passions in life. He enjoyed family vacations and exploring the outdoors. He loved spending his spare time on the golf course with his Father-in-law and Brother-in-law. Matt took pride in coaching his son's little league baseball teams for many years, creating lifelong bonds along the way. He also enjoyed YouTube, searching for golf clubs on eBay, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Indianapolis Colts. Matt was a man of many talents and skills, he was considered the family fix-it man. If you needed something done you could count on him. Matt had a sense of humor that could undoubtedly light up a whole room. Most importantly, Matt enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially loved hiking trails, painting rocks, and hunting for shells with his wife. They explored many state parks and went on countless adventures together.
Matt is survived by his loving wife, Ashley Stanger, daughter, Brooklyn Stanger, son, Chase Stanger, and Joel Redding, whom he loved just like a son. His two brothers, Mitchell (Tina) Stanger and Michael (Holly) Stanger, and grandmother, Linda Stanger Babbitt. Father-in-law Paul Webb, mother-in-law, Lisa Webb, sister-in-law, Holly (Geoffery) Kennedy, and brother-in-law, Chris (Ashley) Webb. Also surviving are several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, including Connor Webb, whom Matt shared a special bond with.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jodi Little, sister, Mandie Stanger, and grandfather, Richard (Skip) Stanger.
To commemorate him, a celebration of life will be held on April 22, at 8329 S 300 W Pendleton, IN from 1-3 p.m.
Matt was a light who shone on all the people around him. His memory lives on with all who loved him and he will be missed deeply. www.loosecares.com.
