Matthew Glen Stenzel, 47, of Frederick, passed away on January 30, 2022.
Matt was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Dick and Betty Stenzel on November 19, 1974.
Matt grew up in Loveland and graduated from Loveland High School. He worked for Gregory Electric. Matt enjoyed fishing, camping, barbequing, and following all of the Colorado sports teams.
Matt is survived by his son Aiden, his father and mother, brother Doug and his wife Laura of Denver, sister Carrie Wrubel and her husband Brad and their daughters of Lake Orion, Michigan, and his aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of a memorial service, the family asks that those who wish to honor Matt contribute to the Colorado Youth Outdoors organization at www.coloradoyo.org.

Dear Betty and Dick and family,
We are so sorry to hear about Matt. Jon and Matt were inseparable as kids. I loved the closeness of our families and I think of you all each time I walk by your old house. Sending love to you all.

I have so many great memories of Matt as we grew up. Hanging out in the club house, playing in the pool, jumping off of the deck, riding bikes all over the fields, watching gymnastics meets, and many more. We are all formed somewhat by our experiences and the people we spend time with. I am very sorry for the loss of Matt. I will not forget the good times that we had and the friends that we were. I hope you will all find some comfort and understanding sometime soon.

Even though I haven´t seen Matt since early high school and haven´t talked with him for many years, I still think about him. I talk to my boys about my best friend Matt growing up, my gymnastics buddy. I have many memories of sleep overs, rock hunting with Dick, skiing, and trying to stay out of trouble!
I am so grateful for all these memories I have with Matt and your family!!!!
