Matthew Strickland, a beloved son, brother, and fiancé, passed away peacefully in the early morning of July 15, 2024, with his loving mother, Patti, by his side. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Strickland.
Matt's memory will forever be cherished by those who survive him. His mother, Patti, will hold onto the precious moments they shared, and his brothers, Tim and Danny, will remember their bond as siblings. Amanda, his devoted fiancée, will carry his love in her heart.
Matt's passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. He found solace in music, its melodies weaving through his life like a comforting thread. Animals held a special place in his heart, and he often found joy in their companionship. But above all, Matt's greatest love was his family-the ties that bound them were unbreakable.
As we bid farewell to Matt, we celebrate the beautiful symphony of his life-a composition of love, laughter, and shared memories. May his spirit continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him, and may his legacy inspire kindness and compassion in us all.
A celebration of Matt's life will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake with a reception to following the service at the funeral home. To leave a condolence to the family please visit Grahamfuneralhome.com
