I miss him already. I'll miss his smirk, I'll miss his pacing as he spoke, I'll miss his passion for music, the way he fiercely loved some artists and his unique way of insulting artists he couldn't stand I see his smile and I can hear his laugh in my head. I've experienced a lot grief and I've learned these are the things that stick with you. These little moments, most will bring a smile to your face and occasionally a tear. Matt has always been a extension of my little sister and brother. I used to go their softball games while they were on the same team in grade school. I thought Matt was the cutest little kid I've ever seen. This sweet dark haired little cherub, and when I saw this little boy play basketball, I was convinced he was going to be a star! I'm a fierce over protective sister of my younger siblings, but with Matt I never had to worry...there isn't a mean bone in his body. He and his twin Hailey were my favorites through the years and I'm so thankful for how much Matt loved my brother. Good loyal friends are hard to come by, and Matt had loyalty woven into his fabric. I'm going to miss him so much, he was like another little brother, I wish I could have been his protector too. I grieve for his family, Haley, Marty, Julie, Amy, Becca and Bri and so many more, they have my love, thoughts and so many prayers. I hope they know their grief is a shared one, Matt was a gentle, funny, sweet soul, and he will be dearly missed by the Hancock family. Love always, ReNee

Marty, Julie, Haley and family: My heart is breaking for you as you lose Matt. I am truly sure he is in a happy place and that he looks down at everyone with smiles and love. He was one of a kind. Beaming with friendship and love for all.
I so wanted to be with you at the visitation, but am watching our grand kids for Kimi. Just know I am reaching out with hugs for all and much love. So very sorry for your loss.❤
