Matthew J. Wallowitch, 60, of Essington, PA passed away October 30, 2025.
Born March 10, 1965, he was a son of the late Charles R. Wallowitch and Ruth M. Linahan.
Matt was the loving brother of Ruthanne Beissel, Charles J. Wallowitch and Gregory R. Wallowitch; Half-sister Christina Gonzalez; dear Uncle of CJ Wallowitch, Jessica Mazza (Anthony), Alexandra Layton (Matt), Gregory R. Wallowitch, Jr. and Elle Gonsalez, proud “Grunkle” to Roman Layton and Sonny Mazza.
Matt went to school in Upper Darby, PA. He attended St Laurence School and graduated from Upper Darby High School. Matt loved baseball and played rec league HPKAA baseball throughout his childhood. He was a big fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and enjoyed watching them every season. Matt worked in construction and home improvement until his illness. He really missed his work when he couldn’t do it anymore. He was so dependable and talented and great to work with. Customers always requested Matt because he was the best.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm, Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Interment is private.
