Matt is survived by his wife, Betsy; his siblings, Tuni and Tom, his three children, Chris (39), Emily (38), and Taylor (33); his grandchildren, Harper (9), Caleb (3), and Serena (1). His legacy of compassion, humor, and quiet strength will continue to live on through them.
Matt is defined by a deep sense of humanity and compassion, especially those who were often unseen or in need. He was also passionate about athletics, spending much of his free time playing basketball and cycling. His kindness and empathy touched countless lives, and left a lasting impact on his community and all who knew him.
A memorial will be held by the family to celebrate his life and the many ways he made the world a little kinder. He will be deeply missed, and will be forever remembered for his love, generosity, and unwavering belief in the goodness of people.
