Celebrating the Life of Matthew Randolph Woollard December 27, 1980 – October 23, 2025 Our hearts are heavy as we share the passing of Matthew Randolph Woollard, 44, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, who left this world on October 23, 2025, surrounded by love. Born in Santa Fe and raised in Albuquerque, Matt spent his life in the city he loved most-where his laughter, loyalty, and compassion left an unforgettable mark. Matt was the beloved husband of his childhood sweetheart and lifelong best friend, Leslie Marie Woollard. Together they built a life filled with love, friendship, and family. Matt was a devoted father to his dog, Rusty Woollard, and shared the special gift of helping raise Leticia, Jacob, and Ri'shon alongside Leslie's sister, Valerie. To them, and to all who knew him, Matt was a steady, loving presence-always ready with a helping hand, a joke, or a word of encouragement. Matt's strength and resilience were evident from an early age. A true fighter in every sense, he faced life's hardships with courage and heart, never letting anything dim his spirit. He had a way of making everyone around him feel cared for, and he carried an endless capacity for kindness, humor, and understanding. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Marie Woollard, and grandparents, Luella and Randolph Larsen, and O'Dell and Ethel Woollard. Matt is survived by his wife, Leslie Marie Woollard, and their son, Rusty; his father, Richard Woollard; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anna and Joey Atencio; his siblings Mannon and Wilma Woollard, Rochelle Woollard, Rebecca Drumm, and Roberta and Bryan King; nieces and nephews Alysha, Shalom, Josh, Leticia, Jacob and Ri'shon, who all shared an unbreakable bond with their Uncle Matt. He also leaves behind a large extended family and countless friends near and far who loved him dearly. Matt's heart was bigger than life itself. He brought people together, offered strength when others couldn't find their own, and gave love freely to everyone he met. Though our world feels dimmer without him, his spirit, laughter, and love will continue to live on in each of us. Forever in our hearts, until we meet again.
