In Loving Memory of Mattie Mae Brown May 17, 1937 – September 15, 2025 With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Mattie Mae Brown, who departed this life on September 15, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on May 17, 1937, Mattie Mae was a woman of remarkable grace, strength, and devotion. She spent many cherished years in Alaska, where she built a vibrant life filled with friendship, faith, and service. Her career at the Alaska Air Force Base in Procurement was marked by meticulous attention to detail and unwavering organization-qualities that defined her both professionally and personally. Later in life, Mattie Mae returned to California to be closer to her family, whom she adored. Surrounded by their love, she celebrated her 80th birthday with a joyful party that brought her immense happiness-a testament to the deep bonds she cultivated throughout her life. Mattie Mae was a gifted singer and a natural athlete, whose energy and joy were contagious. Her love for music and movement reflected the vitality of her spirit. But above all, she was a devout Christian whose faith shaped every aspect of her life. As a beloved mother of her church, she nurtured others with wisdom, compassion, and unwavering belief. Her role as a Sunday School teacher was one she held dear, and she found deep joy in sharing the Word of God with others. Mattie Mae leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and service. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She taught us to walk in faith, to live with purpose, and to love without condition. A celebration of her life will be held in the coming days, where friends and family will gather to honor the extraordinary woman she was. May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of the Lord she served so faithfully.
