Mattie Doris Murray 72, of Bridgeton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on December 11,2025. Mattie was born on April 13, 1953 to the late Joseph and Marion Murray. Mattie was a graduate of Bridgeton High School and found her way back to the Bridgeton Public school systems where she was an active employee until her death. Mattie had an infectious personality that would be so inviting until everyone would want to be around her. Her style in clothes, shoes and makeup was so impressive, she would style family and friends. "A True Diva at Heart". Her cooking was addictive, everyone wanted her food, with her specialty being Oxtails. She loved her plants like people love their pets. Talks with them were on a regular. Mattie was Loving, Loyal, Faithful and Passionate as a companion, mother,grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Mattie was survived by her companion, Patrick Travis, her children, Vincent Murray of Gouldtown NJ, Rashaan Murray of Woodbury NJ, Terrell Murray of Blackwood NJ, Tiya Travis of Milville NJ and Gabriel Travis of Gouldtown NJ. Siblings, Linda Brown (Joel) of Vineland NJ, Terry Holden, Theresa Murray of Williamstown NJ, and Tony Murray of Williamstown NJ. Grandchildren, Zaire, Khalil, Veon, La'Tayla,Treasure, Kaiden, Kamiya, Gabriel Jr, Trinity, Gabrielle, Kionni and Kaheim Jr. Special daughters, Shonta,Tamara and a Special Son, Kaheim. A host of Nieces and Nephews in which she had a bond with them all.
Mattie was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Marian Murray, her brother Lawrence Murray and Granddaughter, Kyieria Bowse. -Lovingly Submitted by the Family
Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, December 27th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website, www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
