Maude Cheramie Obituary
Maude G. Cheramie, 91, a native of Edgard, LA and a resident of Golden Meadow, LA, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2025.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Golden Meadow, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Donna Cheramie, Ellen Heidenreich (Jack), James Patrick Cheramie (Kara), Paul Cheramie (Cindy) and Mary Cheramie; grandchildren Jack Heidenreich, Jr., Katie LeBlanc (Matthew), Michelle Bigler (Jace), Joey Gonzales and Zoey Gonzales Cheramie and sister-in-law, Martha Gravois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Telemaque Cheramie, Jr.; parents, Francois Gravois and Iola Gravois; siblings, F.D. Gravois, Jr. (Vi), Gloria Hicks (Ed), Bro. James Walter Gravois; Cynthia LaFontaine (Norman), Adele Gravois, Jerome Gravois (Ticker) and John Mire Gravois.
Maude was a member of the KC Ladies Auxiliary, Our Lady of Prompt Succor choir, lector and commentator. She loved eating gumbo, potato salad and bread pudding and Me Maws. She was an avid LSU fan.
