Thelma Slade Obituary
Thelma “MeMaw” Ronquille Slade, 93, a native of Westwego, La. and resident of Galliano, La. passed away on November 10, 2025.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at South Lafourche Assembly of God in Galliano, La. from 9:00am until 11:00am. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Thelma R. Slade is survived by her sons, Charles Dale Slade (Debra) and Craig Vern Slade (Annette); 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Slade.
Thelma was preceded in death by her spouse, Charles Lavern Slade; son, Curtis Barry Slade; parents, Octave A. and Mary Julia Ronquille; brothers, Irby Joseph, Alvin Warren, Paul Dennis, and Norman Clarence Ronquille; sisters, Agnes Aimie Rogers, Anna Josephine Marcombe, and Antoinette Marie Plaisance.
Thelma graduated from Westwego High School in 1950 and was employed by Lady of the Sea Hospital and Lafourche Ambulance.
