Maude A. Jones Guilfoyle, 91, of Apalachin, New York, passed away peacefully at Elizabeth Church Manor on August 4, 2025.
She was pre-deceased by parents David S. Jones and Thelma S. Glann Jones, brothers Robert D. Jones and Richard P. Jones (Norma), brothers-in-law Bob Guilfoyle (Mary), David Guilfoyle (Bonnie), and Jim Gibbs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Ward "Jack" Guilfoyle, and daughters Susan Bailey (David), Laura Pless, and Amy Race (Aaron), and grandchildren Dr. Allison Bailey (Kevin Gillard), Dr. Amanda Pless, Andrew Pless (Loriel Murphy), Christopher Bailey-Tyler (Jessica), Matthew Bailey (Michelle), and SrA Ethan Race, sister-in-law Anne Gibbs, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Maude was a graduate of Vestal High School (Class of 1951) and Robert Packer School of Nursing. She was a loving and devoted mother and retired as a managing nurse after many years of service with IBM Endicott and Owego. She was a woman of faith, enjoying Bible study, Sunday School, church activities, and was a member of Christian Business Women.
The family has decided to forego public services in favor of a private remembrance at a later date.

The family thanks the staff of United Methodist Homes for their loving, exceptional care.
