Maudrey Alice Wells

Our beloved Maudrey Alice Kriska Wells, gained her angel wings and flew home to heaven on September 1, 2025 after a short hard battle with a rare aggressive stomach cancer. Maudrey was born on July 21, 1993 to Hugh and Karen Kriska in Fairbanks, AK. She was a blessing to her parents, her four older siblings and the small community of Koyukuk. Maudrey was raised in the village of Koyukuk until she was 11 years old, when her family moved to Nenana where she graduated from High School in 2011, Maudrey took schooling very seriously proving that in her grades. In 2013 Maudrey met the love of her life Aaron Wells, they married in 2019 together they brought two sweet beautiful children to our family, Autumn Lynn(4) and Bennett Charles(1). Maudrey loved her little family, last fall they found their forever home where they would raise their family, which she decorated with so much love and thought. Maudrey was a big part of our family, her passing has left a huge void, she loved hard she was small but her heart was huge. Maudrey worked for Doyon Family of Companies starting out at Doyon Limited at 18, taking a short break and trying something different with Alaska Native Medical Center Administration Dept, she eventually found her way back to Doyon most recently for DDI, where she devoted her time until her passing, she was fierce and took her rolls and responsibilities very seriously. Maudrey is survived by her parents Hugh and Karen Kriska, her husband Aaron and their children Autumn and Bennett Wells and their dog Polar, siblings Trina, Shanda, Leon(TT), Julie(Mike), Hugh "Binka"(Kalila) and Cassandra(Stephen) Sweetsir. Maudrey took her roll of being a Auntie to: Lecia, Lacie, Levi, Ember, Mariella, Louis, Elliot, Eleanor, Kirra, McKenzie, Makayla, Theodore, Jonathan, Logan, Dallas, Devin, Addie, Bruce and bonus nephew Mason Sanchez, very seriously she loved them all very dearly. She also leaves behind Great Aunties Bernice Aragon, Elsie Trembly, Jenny Pelkola. Aunties Marie Andon(Mike) Judy Jensen(George) Betty Olin(Fred) Connie Sommer(Bum) Edith Hildebrand(Darrell) Madeline Riley(Rocky) and Freda Williams(Melvin). Uncles Christopher Sommer(Albertha) Rudy Sommer Tommy Kriska(Myra) and Dale Kriska, In-Laws Dewey and Samantha Wells and family, and a whole lot of Cousins by the dozens that were all very special to her. Maudrey had many friends whom she cherished. Maudrey is proceeded in death by Maternal grandparent Henry/Maudrey Sommer, Paternal Grandparents Hughey/Eleanor Kriska. Aunts Donna, Lucille, JoAnn, Janelle and Corinna, Uncles Coleman and Glenn, cousins Scott and Patricia. And Grandmother in law Martha McGregor. A celebration of life for our beautiful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt Maudrey Alice will be held in Anchorage on September 19th at the Alaska Aviation Museum(Odom Hanger) 4721 Aircraft Drive following Burial at Angelus Memorial Park Cemetery.
