In Loving Memory of Maureen Laird Aldrin
Maureen Laird Aldrin passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at the age of 70. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on May 21, 1954, to Frank and Mary Margaret Laird. Maureen raised her family in Worthington Ohio and Orlando Florida before returning to Ohio four years ago.
She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband, Chuck Aldrin, daughter Christie Aldrin, and brother Michael Laird. She is survived by her loving children, daughter Katie and son Ryan (Elena), as well as her cherished grandchildren, Jack, Elaina, and Charlie. Maureen also leaves behind her brothers, Dan, Jim, and Patrick (Micky), along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Maureen was a bold force-lighting up every room she entered. She loved so many, and to her, strangers were just friends she hadn't yet met. Her laugh was deep and authentic, filling the air with warmth and joy. She loved to sing and dance, embracing life's moments with an open heart. Above all, Maureen was devoted to her family, making everyone she loved feel like the most important person in her life. One of her greatest joys was watching her grandchildren play, delighting in their laughter and energy, and treasuring every moment spent with them.
She dedicated much of her career to Diocesan Publications, where she combined her faith and professional talents to support her community. Through life's challenges, including her health struggles, she remained a source of strength and grace, inspiring all who knew her.
A funeral Mass will be held on April 8, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Westerville, Ohio. Visitation with family and friends will take place in the church parlor at 9:30 AM, with a luncheon celebration following the service.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at Paramount Senior Living and Capital City Hospice for their care and kindness in Maureen's final days and over the four years she lived at Paramount.
