Bucksport-
On September 9, 2025, Maureen F. (Leach) Gerow, went to be with her heavenly father and made the transition from an earthly angel to a heavenly angel.
She was born on March 30, 1944, in Mangor to Milford L. and Ethel M. (Marks) Leach. She grew up in Bangor and graduated from Bangor High School in 1962. She then went on to graduate from Husson College in 1964.
She spent her life as an entrepreneur, owing a variety of different businesses. She was also an amazing mother and Nana who was always involved in whatever he children and grandchildren were doing.
Maureen was predeceased by her husband, Herbert M. Gerow Sr., her parents and her great-granddaughter, Kloe Hawksley.
She is survived by her three children, Milford Hawksley, Thomas Hawksley and wife Danielin and her daughter Lisa Bas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley and husband AJ, Amy, Tyler and wife Heather, DJ, TJ, Andrew and Danica. She also had several great-grandchildren that were her world. She is also survived by the father of her children and first husband of 40 years, Richard Hawksley, two cousins that were more like brothers Terry and Danny Brooks, three dear friends of well over 50 years Lorraine Tarr, Jody Turner, Wanda Groski and many more family and friends that all held a special place in her heart.
There will be a celebration of life on September 18, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. with a time of visitation and a service immediately following, at The Bucksport Senior Center 125 Broadway Bucksport.
The graveside service will be held at a later date.
