Winsted- Maureen A. Ison, 71, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Valerie Manor, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Roy E. Ison.
Mrs. Ison was born in Torrington on September 20, 1952, daughter of the late Lawrence and Barbara (Peck) Louchen, and had been a lifelong Torrington-Winsted area resident. She enjoyed crafting, painting, camping, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Darren E. Ison and Eric L. Ison; a daughter, Amanda L. Sheagren and her husband, Scott, all of Torrington; two brothers, Steven Louchen and his wife, Sharon, of Torrington and Bruce Louchen and his wife, Susan, of VA; a sister, Gail Weber and her husband, Joel, of Torrington; three grandchildren, Joshua Ison, Natalie Sheagren, and Brianna Sheagren; two nieces, a nephew, and great-nephews.
Graveside services and burial in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington will be private. Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
