Maureen McAvinue of Delray Beach, Florida was called home on July 17, 2023 at the age of 66. Maureen was the youngest of four sisters. Born to Barbara and William McAvinue of Queens, New York on October 31, 1956.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and oldest sister, Maryann Jacob. She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Graham and Barbarann McAllister.
Maureen was a proud mother of two children: Laurynn Dillow, married to Danniel Dillow and John Michael Benedetti, married to Dara Benedetti. She has seven wonderful Grandchildren: Brandon Dillow, Carlee Dillow, Nathan Dillow, Jackson Dillow, Gemma Benedetti and soon to be born, baby boy Benedetti.
During her career, Maureen was a licensed real estate agent, property manager and a multi-award-winning leasing agent. Though, Maureen's proudest accomplishment was pouring her life and all her love into the raising of her children and spending precious moments with all of her grandchildren, whom she loved deeply.
Maureen's legacy was one of deep faith, kindness and grace. She was an incredible Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She made those around her feel special with her amazing spirit, sense of humor, loving eyes, bright smile and amazing laugh.
She will be missed, deeply.
Her Memorial Mass will be held on July 29, 2023 at 11:15 am at:
Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, 125 Half Hollow Rd., Deer Park, NY 11729.
Celebration of Life will be in Florida, TBD.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations to be made to her favorite charity: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,
