Maureen Burd Shelton

Maureen Burd Shelton, age 90, of Mt. Sherman, passed away, Monday, October 20, 2025, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was retired from Lincoln National Bank after 31 years of service, was a Member of Mt. Sherman Christadelphian Ecclesia and lived with the hope that her next waking moment would be at the resurrection when Christ returns to the earth to set up his kingdom.
Maureen was preceded in death by her husband, Granville "Hugh" Shelton; her parents, John and Sudie Hill Burd; a sister Genrose Smith and a brother, Ruel Burd.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Shelton; a son, David (Donna) Shelton all of Mt. Sherman; a granddaughter, Brittany Shelton, a niece Diane Howard and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 23, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Andrew Kuipers officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
