My first memory of Missy was when I met her in Mrs. Rubinitz's sixth grade class. Missy was the new girl at that time and she was 11 going on 15, tall and thin, thick wavy long hair. gorgeous, and caught the eye of my love interest since the third grade, Lyle Farwell. As if that wasn't enough for my 11 year old low self esteem self to endure, she was just like me, she liked playing sports with the boys on the playground and I must admit now, that I was very envious of Missy in that first year. By the end of sixth grade we both entered the softball throw and after I beat her, I realized she was just a nice girl who couldn't help being someone all my friends liked. From then on Missy and I remained friends. My sons Donnie, Matthew and Andrew attended school with Nicholas and Mitchell and Missy and I would get together at mother son dinners, sporting events, school functions, and I would stop into Bob's at the foot of Mt. Beacon to say "Hello" . We lost touch in 2016 when I left Beacon. I am sad to know Missy no longer brightens this world, and pray she is at peace.
