Maurice “Moe” Colonna, 93 of Worcester, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, November 11, 2024 at UMass Hospital.
Moe was born in Worcester, a son of the late Berardo and Carolina (Caprioli) Colonna. He worked a self-employed carpenter and contractor for several years until retiring in 1994. Moe served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Moe is survived by his beloved daughter, Joi Colonna of Worcester with whom he lived with, a brother, Vito Colonna and his wife Darlene of Dennis, MA. He is reunited with his beloved wife of 65 years, Dolores (Godino) Colonna who passed away on October 15, 2021, as well as a son, Maurice J. Colonna, II who passed in 1987 and a brother, Joseph Colonna.
Services for Moe will be held privately. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions in his name can be made to: Veterans, Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA. 01605.
