It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Maurice Ellis Green, 57, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, who transitioned on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at his residence in Moncks Corner, SC. The family will be receiving friends and family at the residence: 221 Bonnoitt Street, APT#17C, Moncks Corner, South Carolina, from 3:00 PM until 9:30 PM daily. Please adhere to all COVID-19 precautions and guidelines when visiting the family and funeral home. Masks are recommended, but not required.

Maurice Ellis Green Life Reflections

Maurice Ellis Green was born August 1, 1968, to Ann Brown Green in New York, New York. He departed this life on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at his residence.

Maurice attended Centenary United Methodist Church in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. He was a devoted member of the Thurgood Marshall Consistory #367 and Moncks Corner Masonic Lodge #323 where he served faithfully.

Maurice began his career with South Carolina Department of Corrections at MacDougall Correctional Institution in 1990. Throughout his career he promoted through the agency as an Officer, Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and retired on June 29, 2025, as a Captain.

Maurice was a resilient person. He was dedicated to his family and his career. He always remained humble and gave a smile along with the word of encouragement.

Maurice was united in holy matrimony on August 5, 2000, to Robin Lee and to this union a beautiful daughter, Tirrine Green, was born.

Maurice leaves to cherish his memories: his beloved wife, Robin and daughter, Tirrine both of the home; his mother, Ann Brown of New York; sister, Valerie Mallard of New York; brother, Omari (Shantell) of New Jersey; sister-in-law, Patrice Lee Bennett (Walter) of Jacksonville, FL; aunts, Vermelle (Ernest) Jones, Jettie (David) Ellington, and Debbie Green all of Moncks Corner, SC; uncles, Charles Green of North Charleston, Vernon Green of Columbia, SC and Anthony Green of Moncks Corner, SC along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
