"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, but are felt in the heart. What we have once enjoyed deeply, we can never lose. All
That we love deeply becomes a part of us." - Helen Keller
Family and friends lost a shining light when Maurice Sylvester affectionately known as (Moe/Moses) Jenkins Jr., son of Maurice Sylvester Jenkins & Matilda Joy Jenkins suddenly departed from us on September 18, 2025.
Maurice was born at D.C. General Hospital in Washington D.C. on October 22, 1969. He attended Brightwood Elementary, Alice Deal Junior High School, and Woodrow Wilson Senior High School; from there he embarked on a career in the Automotive field as a Tire Technician for NTB, National Tire & Battery, where he competed in multiple Tire Tournaments. He worked at Rodman Discount Gourmet Store where he spent almost 20 years. He then moved on to QDT - Quality Discount Tire where he was able to display his skills in the automotive field as Senior Tire Technician with a joyful people person personality for almost 20 years.
Moe was married to Robin Brown. Their marriage was expressed by a deep Love,
Friendship, and mutual Respect that continued until his passing.
Moe's life displayed compassion, and an unwavering faith in God. He approached life with enthusiasm, whether building relationships, using his gift of photography (his camera was always ready) to photograph family and friends, mastering video games, or Landscaping, Car Detailing for certain clients, and going on countless cruising adventures with his wife and friends reflected his adventurous and free spirit
Family, extended family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors will remember Moe's ability to forge deep relationships and connections, giving back to the community, and loving others without conditions. He touched many lives with his infectious smile, love, kindness, and his gift of making others smile. His legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire and lift us up and shine brightly in our hearts.
Maurice was predeceased in death by his father, Maurice Sr. He leaves to cherish the memory of his life by his: loving and devoted wife, Robin; his mother, Matilda; children, Maurice III, Kendra, and stepson Jared, His sisters Constance, Jeannette, and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. He also leaves his best friends Rick and Andrew; the Goodall family; and his coworkers at QDT – Quality Discount Tires.

Everyone shared in his joyful spirit. Although Moe's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. His light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
