Maurice Laplante Obituary
Moe worked for many years at Salem Power Plant and subsequently Federal Express. He looked forward to spending time at his vacation home in Otisfield, Maine, where he enjoyed boating and snowmobiling.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his sons; Thomas and Michael Laplante; his sister, Marie Getchell and her husband Mark; as well as his nephew and niece, Matthew and Marisa Getchell. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Laplante.
His memorial visitation will be on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 11AM-1PM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn, with a memorial service beginning at 12:30PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eliot Community Human Services, 125 Hartwell Avenue, Lexington, MA 02421.

I only knew Moe for a very short time. I was a patient at hospital for behavioral medicine the same time that he was. I honestly felt that he was being neglected for several days before his death. Although I did not know him very well because he kept to himself while he was a patient. I was very saddened to learn of his death and I believe it could´ve been avoided. Had he been sent to a medical hospital sooner. May his family know that he was loved.
