Maurice Maher Obituary
September 17, 1942 - December 28, 2023
Maurie is survived by his wife, Barbara, and children: Maurie (Jennifer) Maher, Elkhorn, NE, Sean (Jacque) Maher, Overland Park, KS, Shannon (Rocky) Denney, Shawnee, KS, Molly (Tim) Hoffman, Omaha, NE, Meaghan Maher, Brooklyn, NY; brother, Tim (Cindy) Maher of Chetek, WI. He has ten grandchildren: Emma, Brock, Timmy, Cael, Olivia, Haley, Reese, Charley, Ryder & Maddox. He was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Pauline, and his sister, Terri. Maurie's family, friends, and faith meant the world to him, and he made the most of every moment with each of them. Maurie's family will receive friends for visitation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 3rd at St. Robert Bellarmine of Omaha with a Vigil Service at 7:30. Funeral Mass Thursday, January 4th 10:30 a.m followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society & Msgr. Eugene H. Kerwin Endowment Fund c/o St. Robert Bellarmine Church.

I’m sorry this is so late, but I’m deeply sorry for Maury’s passing. Have many great memories taking care of little Mahers while a bowl of popcorn waited for me. I thank Maury and Barbara for allowing me into your beautiful family. I pray for you all and hope for your comfort and peace. I made a small donation to Father Kerwins memorial fund in Maury’s name. Maurie hired me right out college, mentoring me as I started my career. I would never have achieved all that I´ve been blessed with had he not afforded me the opportunities he did but he was that kind of person. Our thoughts and prayers are with Barb and all the family.
