Charles Michael Glas

Charles (Mike) Michael Glas was born October 6, 1939 in Des Moines, IA and passed February 11, 2026 peacefully in his sleep from sepsis in Edina, MN. His service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 2-4PM at Washburn-McReavy in Edina, MN. Mike had written his own obituary:

I was born to the parents of Frances and Ernest and the youngest of four siblings. Graduated from Dowling High School in Des Moines and Iowa State University with an EE degree. Worked for Control Data for over 23 years, Johnson Screens for 10 years and was a member of Local 292 Electrical Union. I spent 20 years in Pennsylvania and started up the Pennsylvania and Virginia lotteries. In my younger years was an avid hunter and fisherman. Liked to recycle metals found in construction dumpsters.

Survived by sons Brian of Seattle, Washington and John of Bloomington, MN. Loved animals. My last two dogs were Bunny, a Westie, and Billy, a Miniature Poodle.
