Maurice “Bud” Henry Paris Jr., 88, of Noblesville, Indiana, passed away on December 25, 2025. He was born on September 19, 1937, in Evansville, Indiana, to parents, Maurice Paris Sr. and Louise (Mangold) Paris. He married Margaret (Harrelson) Paris on March 5, 1960, enjoying a wonderful 65 years of marriage.
Maurice loved golfing, fishing, and tending to his beautiful lawn in his retirement years, enjoying the sun and the outdoors when he could. Maurice was a member of the Castleton United Methodist Church, going every Sunday with Margaret for over 50 years. You could always count on Maurice for a good laugh, loving to spend time with his family and friends. Throughout their marriage, Maurice and Margaret spent some time traveling and always spent a few months at their second home in Florida during Indiana’s cold season. Attended Bosse HS, Evansville College degree in Industrial Engineering, Indiana University Master's Degree while serving in the Army Reserves. Spent his corporate career mainly at RCA, Black & Decker and Thompson Electronics. In his retirement years he worked at Stoney Creek golf course and Fiscal Tax business.
Maurice is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Paris; sister Susan (Terry) Ising; children, Linda (Jeff) Dietl, Kathy Paris, Greg (fiancée Stephanie) Paris; grandchildren, Alex Brooks, Colin (Sydney) Brooks, Samantha Dietl, Rachael (Adam) Taylor, Daniel (Cara) Matchett, Brandon (fiancée Cheryl) Matchett, Julia Paris, Gregory Paris; great-grandchildren, Breckyn Taylor, AJ Taylor, Colton Taylor, Jack Matchett, and Charlie Matchett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Janice Miller and Nancy Ingebrand, and grandchild Shayne Dietl.
Visitation for Maurice will be from 11:30 am – 1 pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite) – 9700 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250, with a funeral service immediately following at 1 pm. A private committal ceremony will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Castleton United Methodist Church – Indianapolis,American Stroke Association, or to a charity of your choice.
