Margaret Ann Funk, 82, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robin E. Funk, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Margaret was a devoted mother to her two sons, Brian (Jennifer) and David (Elizabeth), and a proud grandmother to Kelsey, Ben, Tyler, and Andrew. She is also survived by her younger sister, Mary Alice Lowe (Herr). Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in spending time with them, offering unwavering love, support, and care.
A lifelong caregiver, Margaret dedicated her career to serving others as a nurse at St. Vincent’s Hospital before continuing her work in family practice care. Her compassion and kindness left a lasting impact on the countless patients and families she cared for throughout her life.
Margaret had a zest for life and a deep appreciation for the simple joys it offered. She loved traveling, watching classic movies, and gathering with family and friends. She especially treasured time spent with her husband at their favorite restaurant, Just Judy’s. An active member of her community, Margaret enjoyed participating in book club, volunteering at local food pantries, and taking walks with friends.
Known for her warm spirit, Margaret never met a stranger. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, forming friendships wherever she went. Her kindness, generosity, and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Margaret’s legacy of love, compassion, and connection will live on through her family and the many lives she touched.
