Maury often came to my Memories, Stories & Reflections class at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education. RIght away, I knew his presence would make the class special. Maury's warmth, tender respect for others, and his own extraordinary writing lent depth and a sense of hard fun to the writing of life stories. If class members questioned their courage or ability to covey difficult material, he would champion their efforts with grace, often calling upon his library of immense experience. A constant learner, he told us of his discovery of Feldenkreis at 73 and how marvelous he felt as a result. When he entered class, i instinctively smiled: no matter what happened, all would be well. Thank you, dear Maury. What fond memories I have of you. Kendall Dudley
