Her family immigrated to Buffalo NY in 1948 to be with family who came prior. Helen graduated from the University at Buffalo with a master's degree in library science. While at the University of Buffalo she met her husband to be Thaddeus Felerski. Helen was his beautiful bride for over 63 years. They traveled, loved entertaining, gardening and playing euchre and often entered various tournaments. Helen was a master seamstress and made drapes, clothing and a total of 16 wedding gowns. Her talents as an extraordinary homemaker and wife extended into motherhood as she adored her daughter Kathryn of California and her son Micheal, who pre-deceased her in 2021. Adored mother-in-law of Ronald Barkowski of California and Michael's wife Sue Ellen Felerski. Cherished granny and the world's best storyteller to four grandchildren; Rose (Andrew) Turney, McDermott (Sheila) Felerski, Andrew (Staci) Barkowski and Quinn (Joseph) Flannery as well as 6 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
