A Homecoming of Grace
Today we gather, hearts both full and torn,
To honor a life beautifully worn-
Ninety-five years of steadfast light,
Of faith held firm through every night.
She walked with God in humble grace,
His love reflected in her face.
Her Bible worn, its pages thin,
A quiet strength that lived within.
She taught us not with words alone,
But through the seeds of mercy sown-
In prayers whispered, in hymns softly sung,
In lessons passed from old to young.
She feared the Lord, yet lived in peace,
Believing every soul finds release
When earthly days are gently through
And Heaven's gates swing wide and true.
For nineteen years she carried on,
Her heart still tied to one long gone.
Now joy has found her once again-
Reunited, beyond all pain.
Hand in hand, two hearts restored,
Walking together beside the Lord.
She loved her children fiercely, deeply,
A love that held them strong completely.
Her grandchildren felt her steady care,
A shelter found always there.
And great-grandchildren, bright with wonder,
Were treasures that filled her with thunder-
Of laughter, pride, and grateful tears,
The sweetest gifts of all her years.
She called us blessing, each and all,
No matter how big, no matter how small.
And truly, we were blessed by her-
By every hug, each quiet prayer.
She showed us how to live with grace,
How faith and love can fill a place.
Though we grieve, we do not part;
She lives forever in each heart.
Her legacy is love made real,
A gentle strength we always feel.
So today we say not just goodbye,
But thank you, with a grateful cry-
For the woman God so lovingly gave,
A faithful servant, gentle and brave.
Rest now in joy, your race well run,
Rejoicing in the Father and the Son.
Until we meet beyond the sky,
Your love remains-it does not die.
We love you Granny!!!!
