Michael Barton Obituary
Born on August 21, 1958 in York, Pa to Surrell M. Barton and Joan Buchanan. Michael was known for his camaraderie, and personality. He spent 19 years working as a welder and maintenance worker at Harley Davidson. Prior to that employment, he worked at BMY as a plant worker for 19 years.
Outside of work, Michael loved to fish and spend time with friends and family. He was happiest when he was working "making that money." His friends will remember him for supporting others when in need and being a dear friend and father.
He is survived by his children, April Collier, Maria Barton, and Michelle Barton; and his grandchildren, Sanai Collier, Dy'Mond Gonzalez, Joseph Simmons, Josiah Simmons, Makenzie Lawrence, Kingston Lawrence, Normani Lawrence, and great grandson Selah Collier. He was preceded in death by his father, Surrell M. Barton. He was survived by his mother, Joan Sharp, James Barton, Greg Barton, Linda Barton, Greta Harris, and Lori Williams (siblings).
A Memorial/Celebration of Life will be held at Triple T's (238 s. Belvidere Ave, York, Pa) on March 27, 2026 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to his daughter, Maria Barton.
