Ernie H. Campbell

Ernie H. Campbell, 76, went to meet the Lord at his home at 175 Harvest Drive, York, PA on Sunday, February 22nd, 2026. He was born on February 9th, 1950 in Guaico Sangre Grande, Trinidad and Tobago to Sacy Campbell and Hugh Cuffie. He was raised as the son of his devoted Aunt Elaine and Uncle Cecil Odain and was the apple of the eyes of Henry and Sarah Campbell, his grandparents.

Plaisance Park, Pointe-a-Pierre, Trinidad and Tobago was his childhood home. He loved athletics and became one of the top sprinters in his school. He learned to play the piano by ear and was an avid song writer and produced dozens of songs over his life time. He shared a dream, that he burstee through the clouds and was surrounded by songs and music playing.

He graduated Southern Academy High School, went on to become a Teacher and Police Officer in Trinidad. In 1988 he migrated to the United States, met his lovely wife Janet Baker in Brooklyn, NY.. A lifelong learner, he graduated from the Mercy College with honors.

He is survived by his children Kevin Campbell, Kim Applewhite, Kirk Campbell and adopted son Kessunga Omar Baker, seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren: siblings Floyd Cuffie, Wendie Samuel, Gail Odain-Samaroo and Dawne Odain-King. He was the brother of deceased June Cuffie
