Mavis Studebaker Maynard, 88, of Homerville passed away, January 29, 2024, at Riverbrook Nursing Home after a short illness. She was born in Homerville to the late Herbert E. Studebaker, Sr. and Isaline Booth Studabaker. Mrs. Maynard lived in Homerville most of her life and retired from Standard Container as a Secretary in Personnel. She was a member of First Baptist Church and always enjoyed, cooking, sewing, gardening, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd David Maynard, Sr.; three sisters, Christine McQuaig, Lalone Bradford, and Pearl Kight; one brother, Herbert Studebaker, Jr.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jaquita Maynard and David Maynard, Jr. all of Homerville; two granddaughters, Mindy Maynard (Jeremy Chauncey) of Homerville, Amanda Maynard Cox (Kenny) of Manor; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Cox, Kaden Archer Maynard, Emmalyn Cox, and Kenslie Cox; one sister, Helen S. Booth of Homerville; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Friday morning, February 2, 2024, at the Chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10 until 11 am at the funeral home.
