Max Thomas, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, at the age of 71. Known for his resilience, generosity, and deep love for his family and community, he leaves behind a legacy of strength.

Raised in Acuff, Texas, Max developed an early love for agriculture through his involvement in FFA and 4-H. He earned a degree in Animal Science from West Texas A&M University and began his career in banking. After surviving a life-altering car accident in his 30s, he returned to agriculture and built a respected career in crop insurance, helping to develop tools that shaped the industry alongside Silveus Crop Insurance.

Max's greatest pride was his family, his three daughters and three grandchildren, and he remained their biggest supporter. He was also known for quietly helping others, supporting youth in agriculture, and offering kindness to those facing hardship.

He is survived by his daughters, Tamora, Kyra, and Kayla; son-in-law, Martin Coll; grandchildren, Khagan, Carson, and Sydney; sisters, Phyliss Lutrick and Joyce Hosch; brothers-in-law, Johnny Lutrick and Pascal Hosch; and many extended family and friends who loved him dearly.

A service will be held on August 22, 2025 at Ransom Canyon Fellowship Church at 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in his memory to Roosevelt FFA or a charity of your choice, honoring his enduring commitment to supporting young people and those in need.
