East Bloomfield - Maximilian "Max" Vincent Holland, age 18, passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2025. Born on February 8, 2007, in Binghamton, NY, Max was a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend whose lighthearted spirit and genuine kindness touched everyone around him.
Max was preparing to begin his senior year at East Bloomfield High School. He previously attended middle school in the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District. Max worked at Popeye's at the Seneca Travel Plaza in Victor, NY. Whether behind the counter at work, in the classroom, or walking through town in the middle of winter wearing shorts, Max had a presence that made people smile.
A passionate New Orleans Saints fan, Max loved all things sports and could always be found talking stats or game highlights. He had a soft spot for the beach-he loved the feeling of sand underfoot, even if he wasn't too sure about the ocean. Max had an easygoing nature, a sharp sense of humor, and a heart full of love. He was sweet, caring, and outgoing, always joking around and brightening the day of anyone lucky enough to know him. He was known for making people feel seen, heard, and appreciated-gifts that will be deeply missed.
Max is survived by his loving mother, Amy (Horton) Holland; three siblings, Eloise Holland, Christopher Holland, and Zachary Clarkson; grandmother, Cathy Collins; aunt, Melissa Horton; and cousins, Ashley Horton and her husband Patrick Loranger, and their children Bella Horton and Alphonse Horton; Julius Horton and his son Chase Horton; Quinn Horton and Abigail Horton; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his cousin, Bella Horton-Sherman, with whom he now shares eternal peace.
Though Max's time with us was far too short, his warmth, humor, and love will echo in the lives he touched forever. He was truly one of a kind-and we are all better for having known him.
Friends may call Friday, July 25th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, 2 South Ave, East Bloomfield, NY 14443. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Max's memory be made to the Ontario County Suicide Prevention Coalition https://www.partnershipforontariocounty.org/donate.
